MILF hold leaders’ summit 2022

BANGSAMORO GOVERNMENT CENTER, Cotabato City — The Central Committee of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) held the MILF Leaders Summit 2022 at the Shariff Kabunsuan Complex here on Saturday, Sept. 3.

Central Committee chair and Bangsamoro interim chief minister Al Haj Murad Ebrahim led the Summit with a theme “MILF in Transition: Forging Unity through Consultation Process and Collective Leadership.”

The Summit of Leaders is the culmination of the series of consultations held by the MILF among its members and supporters in different areas of the Bangsamoro homeland in which members and supporters of the MILF expressed their unwavering support to the MILF and its leaders led by Chairman Al Haj Murad Ebrahim.

Select leaders of the MILF from the different areas of the Bangsamoro such as the Davao Region, Southern Mindanao, Central Mindanao, North Cotabato, Lanao del Sur, Lanao del Norte, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi Tawi and Palawan attended the Summit.

In his message, Interim Chief Minister Balawag emphasized four major agenda “na patuloy na pinapatupad at pinapalakas and I want everyone to help me hand in hand, side by side para sa pagsasabuhay dito. We value very much ang mga resulta ng consultation at ideas na nanggagaling sa inyo, ang consultation ay isa sa mga priority dahil and Islamic leadership, hindi isa lang ang magdesisyon at magproseso , kaya kailangan natin and consultative at collective decision ng mga leader.  We need to affirm na itong mga ginagawa natin ngayon ay continuation ng Jihad.”
