MARAWI CITY – Senator Imee Marcos visited Lanao del Sur today, May 19, bringing workers of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to hand out P5,000 cash assistance to each of 1,035 indigent students.

Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto-Adiong Jr. and his son-Vice Governor Mohammad Khalid “Mujam” Adiong received and hosted the lady senator and her party at the provincial capitol complex here where the visitors also accorded the recipient children aged six to 10 years old packages of nutritious food and toys.

The Adiongs appreciated Sen. Marcos for committing her full support to various projects of their province, which now stands as the vote richest component of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The father and son had staunchly rallied the candidacy of now President Bongbong Marcos in the 2022 elections.
