Lanao Norte 65th anniversary kicks off with Mangrove planting on Environmental Day

ILIGAN CITY – The provincial government of Lanao del Norte has begun celebrating its 65th anniversary celebrations with a Mangrove planting activity on Environmental Day, Friday, June 28.

“Let the festivities begin as the 65th Araw ng Lanao del Norte kicks off with joy and excitement. As a tradition, this year’s celebration starts with a profound act of environmental stewardship—a mangrove planting activity on Environmental Day,” the provincial government said in a statement.

It added, “Join us at the Mega Canal, Aloha Poblacion, Tubod Lanao del Norte, as we unite to nurture our coastal ecosystem and admire the beauty of our soon-to-open Panguil Bay Bridge.”

Panguil Bay bridge is 3.77 km. long and is said to be the longest water-spanning bridge in Mindanao, connecting Tubod, Lanao del Norte’s capital, and Tangub in Misamis Occidental.
